Waste of time! This guy hates the middle and lower class. He rambles on about how much better Europeans are compared to Americans. I lost almost all of my want to visit Europe, except for maybe Germany. After all it is the Fatherland.
I enjoyed this book because I enjoy reading history. It painted a different view of America then what we learned in school.

The author is British and is giving fellow Brits some idea of what's in "the colonies".

It is fascinating to read about life, transportation, and areas from a point of view of before any of us were around.

He does make a commercial out of the Colorado Springs area. There are too many pages of testimonials about how wonderful an area it is.
